Apart from being a musician, I take a genuin interest in the philosophy of music. It is the foundation on which we create, play and teach music. It may cost a lot of effort digging through books and deciphering philosophical concepts, but it can give the overview one needs as a musician. If you're interested, and if you speak German, you can have a look at my academic paper. It takes on the language philosophy of Ludwig Wittgenstein and applies it to music.
I'm a happy teacher at the Simplay Musikschule in Berlin. Together with my students, I've had many great experiences. Music is sometimes best when it's simple.
